I have a proven track record of being able to effectively manage and coordinate all aspects of building maintenance, from repairs and renovations to preventive maintenance and safety inspections. I am also experienced in managing and coordinating staff, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. In my current role at Shangri la Hotels Lanka, I joined the company as a preopening member on the 1st of October 2018. It was a 40-story high-rise building with an office tower and a shopping mall. I was responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s entire building, including the HVAC, electrical, Fire, and plumbing systems. Especially I had to handle all the Engineering Department work in the Mall/office tower. I also managed the staff who were responsible for these tasks. I have been awarded as the best employee and I was able to reduce the number of emergency repairs by instituting a preventive maintenance program that was based on regular inspections and timely repairs. I am also directly involved in preparing budgets for building services, maintenance, upcoming renovation projects, and AMC. Every and engineering audit will be conducted through me and all shift operational checklists, annual maintenance, preventive maintenance have been prepared and updated as per the requirement of Shangri la standards for audits. I must report to the Operations Manager regarding my responsibilities and day-to-day operation outcomes.
