- Description : After My graduation form Ocean University of Sri Lanka (SL), I joined with The Auto-Group International Pvt Ltd who does the RHD Conversion in SL. I worked there for one year and 10 months, I could gain very good experience in manufacturing operations of a company and automobile Engineering. Then I joined with Aitken Spence Hotels which is the second largest hotel chain in SL, as the 3rd Engineer of Heritance Kandalama Hotel which is a world renowned 5-star environment friendly resort hotel. After that, I was promoted to 2nd Engineer & Chief Engineer positions of the hotel within shorter period. I was became Chief Engineer of a 5-star hotel in SL at the age 29. I successfully led 64 staff members who were in Engineering Department of the hotel, including an 3rd and 2nd Engineers. During that period, as the Client Engineer I contributed to the successful completion of Largest Ladies Quarters in SL Hotel Industry in Kandalama Hotel and many projects Further, Travelife Gold Certification was successfully acquired during my tenure at Kandalama hotel and i managed the TL audit successfully. Then I joined Amethyst Passikudah Resort in Batticaloa as Chief Engineer and Then, I joined with Indian Hotels Company Limited (Taj Hotels) as Director of Engineering in Taj Bentota Resorts and Spa which is a largest hotel chains in the world, as the Director of Engineering where I was responsible for the Engineering operation and minor to major refurbishment projects of Taj Bentota Resort and Spa. Then as a expansion of my career life in Hotel Engineering, I joined Tangerine Group of Hotels which is a subsidiary of Mercantile Investments PLC as the Cluster Chief Engineer and heading total Engineering operations for a portfolio of 2 Hotels Tangerine Beach Hotel and Royal Palms Beach Hotel, In addition to that, my responsibility extends to successful completion of all minor to medium range projects in Both hotels. On top of that , I am an experienced Engineering Professional in Hospitality field with a 8 years of demonstrated history of working and Experiences, Skilled in Maintenance Engineering, Project Management, Business and Administrations Management, Strong engineering professional with a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Administration General from Cardiff Metropolitan University. In addition to that, i hold the membership of Institute of Engineering Technology in UK and Institute of Management of Sri Lanka.
